Oh, it's a VERY GLOOMY DAY, outside..... but, I know it can be a good day if we make it one. Good day to work on your hobby or if you don't have one.....start one! Call a friend or read a good book!
Donna and Edman have gone on their monthly journey to Lynnville for Bread of Life donations. These two faithful, hard working, responsible volunteers deserve our thanks for making this trip on their own time and at their own expense.
I can hear the chatter of the Euchre Club in their room on the lower floor. I believe they're enjoying their games and the opportunity to visit with each other. Have you considered joining the group. They meet every Tuesday afternoon at the Blue Jeans Center.
As I fill the chair here at the welcome desk today, I've had conversations with people I haven't seen for a while. It's good to feel needed here and be able to welcome others into the center. It has been good for me and I hope for those with whom I've greeted.
Do you have a few hours a week you'd like to volunteer here at your community center? Do you need a reason to get out of the house a while in winter months? Call us or come on by.
Are you interested in learning about Computers? Classes are offered here at the center every Thursday evening. Call the center for more info. The classes are free, but, you must call and register as students are limited per class.
Sunday, January 20, will be our fundraiser meal in the cafeteria. An opportunity to have a good hot, delicious meal and visit with friends, or bring your friends with you for Sunday lunch.
I wish for each of you a beautiful 2008, filled with good health and happiness beyond your greatest expectations.
